Lampkin Music Group is a business that is committed to spreading the knowledge of music. Over the last twenty-five years, New York native Ralph Lampkin has been writing, coaching, directing, singing and living in the world of show.
He has produced nightclub and theatre appearances in New York and Chicago, has written press releases nationwide, has co-engineered and co-produced various artists and is well known in the field for his love of obscure and rare music. He has written patter for nightclub acts, been a stage manager for artists like Pudgy and John Herrera. He has designed lights and sound for most of the shows he produces, and has loved donating time to numerous benefits in remembrance of friends long gone.
His experience in film work and TV appearances has helped heighten his awareness of details and helped him with everything from press photos to setup lighting for theatre works.
His baritone voice has been heard in clubs and theatres, and he has danced at Alice Tully Hall. Though he hasn't sung in public for years, he uses those experiences for his vocal coaching work in the studio while producing worthwhile projects for jazz and theatre artists like Martha Lorin, Alexandra Billings, David Gurland and Danny Lerman. He has written columns for several monthly papers nationwide covering the cabaret and jazz scenes.
